Just realized I forgot to mention — the Irish cream was a smash. Everyone who tried it (about ten different people, including my alcoholic grandmother who hadn’t had a drink in like 24 years before this) went crazy for it. My brother asked for the recipe.
When I make it again, I may just sub a cup of half-and-half for the milk & cream for simplicity’s sake (unless I’m using up extra heavy cream, which is what inspired me to do this in the first place) and I may knock the whiskey down to 1-1/4 cups. It was pretty strong. 🙂
